Dr. Airies Davis is a highly effective visionary and emotionally intelligent thought-leader. As a proud product of Chicago Public Schools the experiences of a diverse and transformative public school education provided a critical landscape towards shaping the trajectory of her professional life goals. Her passion is to ensure students gain access to an academically rigorous and equitable education while developing cultural competences to critically think and effectively communicate in preparation for a global workforce. 

Dr. Davis currently serves as an Executive in Residence (EiR) and Adjunct Professor for Business and Career Development Program (BCDP) 100-400 level courses at Dominican University, Brennan School of Business in River Forest, Illinois.  As an EiR, she promotes lifelong consultative career coaching for current and alumni business students.  Fittingly, her education acumen spans to include delivering lectures at a myriad of universities, colleges, K-12 schools, and professional associations. In the K-12 sector, she coalesced research based human capital insight yielding scalable organizational change management as the Principal Transition Coordinator and HR Executive leader in the merger of diverse school populations and cultures in both Chicago Public Schools (CPS) and Los Angeles (Los Angeles Unified School District -LAUSD) network/districts.  

She obtained over 10+ years of practical HR, Diversity/Equity/Inclusion, and Talent Development expertise in such roles as Assistant Vice President and HR Business Partner for Fortune 500 companies including Deloitte and Merrill Lynch.  Likewise, her entrepreneurial accolades are evident in the creation of WorkforcEQi LLC.  WorkforcEQi is a diverse, innovative and multifaceted human capital consultancy firm merging workforce readiness with emotional intelligence (EQ).

Notably, she earned a doctorate degree (Ed.D) in Urban Educational Leadership with a concentration in Education Psychology from University of Southern California Rossier School of Education. Her doctorate dissertation topic entitled: Preparation for a Global Economy: 21st Career-Readiness and Academic-Citizenship Skills for African-American Workforce Entrants, explored education psychological concepts related to career readiness and workforce development.   Dr. Davis holds an Executive MBA and Bachelors of Arts in Speech Communications/Business from the University of Illinois-Urbana coupled with a Human Resources course from Northwestern University.  She also qualified for the SPHR certification. Dr. Davis is a leader and member on several boards including Phi Delta Kappa (PDK) and Chicago Chapter past President, Lifetime member, and Executive Advisory Council (EAC) Board Member-National Association of African Americans in HR (NAAAHR).
