I am a nurse and was in clinical practice for 18 years. I started my academic career in 2009. I taught full time for 5 years and then changed to part time at Kennesaw State University. I am presently a doctoral candidate at KSU. I plan to continue in teaching when I finish my education. I love nursing and teaching and believe I have the best of both worlds by being a nurse educator.

I am also passionate about Afghanistan and have made 2 trips there. My dissertation is about the Afghan women refugees in Metropolitan Atlanta. I have a nursing school named after me in Kabul and I want to partner with a school in the US in order to advance the education of both schools and enhance diversity.
