Dr. Cynthia Alexander

Dr. Cynthia M. Alexander currently serves as an Adjunct Professor of Special Education at Kennesaw State University.  She has approximately eleven years of service as an on-line instructor at University of Phoenix and Kennesaw State.  Dr. Alexander has completed thirty plus years in several capacities in the PK-12 school setting, and is currently working as an Assistant Principal in the Atlanta Public School System. Dr. Alexander received her doctorate in Developmental Education, with undergraduate and graduate degrees in Elementary and Special Education.  She is certified in both regular and special education grades PK-8 in all content areas, special education curriculum consultative PK-12, educational leadership, and ESOL certification. Although her hometown is Shreveport, Louisiana, she has lived in Atlanta, Georgia with her husband since 2003.  She is the mother of four adult children and the grandmother of five.  Dr. Alexander believes her life mission is to mentor educational leaders and teachers to ensure academic success for all students.
