Tonya Moore has served within higher education since 2006, starting at Fort Valley State University in the Business Department.  She began working with Gordon State College in January 2009. She started as the Gordon @ Fort Valley State Program Coordinator until May of 2012.  She currently serves as the Career Services Coordinator, Non-Traditional Student Coordinator/Advisor, Professional Academic Advisor within the Student Success Center, and the advisor for the recently established GSC Toastmasters International Club. Tonya Moore also serves as a adjunct professor within the Business and Public Service Department. Ms. Moore serves as a Challenge Course facilitator at Gordon State College. Ms. Moore has recently received her CAEL Certification in Academic and Career Counseling and was selected for the 2015 Leadership Lamar Class in Barnesville, Georgia.

A Michigan native, she earned her Bachelor's Degree from Tennessee State University, Nashville, TN and her Master's Degree from Bellarmine University, Louisville, Kentucky. She is currently pursuing her Doctoral Degree from The University of Southern Mississippi in Human Capital Development. Her research journey focuses on “Employees perceptions of Marriage Enrichment Training and Its Influence on the work environment”.
